Ducati has launched the 1299 Panigale R Final Edition in the Indian market at an exclusive showroom price of Rs. 59.18 lakhs. It can also be booked for a token amount of Rs. 10 lakhs.
This Ducati 1299 Panigale R Final Edition is the last motorcycle in the company’s range of L-twin superbikes. But what sets it apart from the standard version of the 1299 Panigale is the tri-coloured paint scheme of red, white and green. The platform (chassis), which underpins this Final Edition, and the suspension is borrowed from the 1199 Panigale R WSBK.
The 1299 Panigale R Final Edition possesses the best electronic features that Ducati has on offer. It has power modes, 6-axis IMU, cornering ABS, traction control, engine braking, quick shifter and wheelie control.
At the heart of this Ducati motorcycle is a powerful, fire-breathing 1299 cc superquadro engine which is very much capable of making of making a maximum power of 206 bhp and a highest torque of 142 Nm. The power is transmitted to the wheel via a 6-speed transmission gearbox. The exhaust system is given a super lightweight titanium Akrapovic unit.
The 1299 Panigale R Final Edition isn’t a limited edition superbike, unlike the 1299 Superleggera. However, it is to be noted that the Indian market might get only a limited number of units. It primarily competes with the Kawasaki Ninja H2R and the MV Agusta F4 RC.
