Ducati India has launched a new variant of Scrambler family in form of Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 at a sticker price of Rs. 8.52 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. The Scrambler Mach 2.0 features a paint scheme created by renowned Californian designer Roland Sands with colours that evoke the typical West Coast style of the ’70s. It is available for delivery across all seven Ducati dealerships in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Kochi. Ducati Scrambler comes in several different versions like the Icon, Classic and Full Throttle.

Ducati is planning to launch electric bikes and scooters by 2021!

Sergi Canovas Garriga, Managing Director of Ducati India said, “The Ducati Scramblers are the perfect starting point for motorcyclists. It is a contemporary bike that gives the rider pure riding pleasure with the practicality of a modern bike. The Scrambler Mach 2.0 is a very special motorcycle that is a result of our collaboration with Roland and will provide a unique flavour to Scrambler buyers.” The motorcycle is sleek and comes with low-slung tapered aluminium handlebars. It also features a low variable cross-section aluminium handlebar, a dedicated Flat Track Pro seat, black exhaust and cylinder head covers, plus Café Racer-style brushed cooling fins. The company introduced two more new versions of the Scrambler in form of Desert Sled and Cafe Racer.

Inspiration for the name of this latest Scrambler version comes from a bike that made Ducati - and motorcycling - history in the ’60s. Back in 1965, in fact, the Mach 1 250 was launched: a classic of its day that mounted the same engine as the Scrambler 250 of the time. Needless to say, the choice of name stems from its association with speed and movement: 'Mach', in fact, is the unit of measure for supersonic speeds. Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 is powered by the Euro 4 803 cc twin-cylinder Desmodue engine, which develops maximum power output of 73bhp at 8250rpm and peak torque performance of 67Nm at 5750rpm. The bikes challenges the likes of Triumph Street Scrambler and Yamaha FZ-07 in the Indian market.
