Ducati Scrambler 1100 to Launch in India on August 27

Ducati India will launch the new Scrambler 1100 in India on August 27, 2018. The company announced launch of its new flagship model on its social media handles. Bookings for the model have already started at some Ducati dealerships in the country at a sum of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh. As for the pricing, new Ducati Scrambler is expected to start from Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). Powering the prowess will be a 1,079 cc, L-twin motor good 86 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 88 Nm of torque at 4,750 rpm. The 803 cc engine used on the Standard Scrambler makes 74 bhp and 67 Nm. Transmission choices are carried out by a six-speed unit.

In terms of styling, it takes most of the cues from its smaller siblings, while it also receives additional bits such as underseat twin exhaust mufflers and a redesigned headlight. The list of safety features on the bike include anti-lock-braking system, cornering ABS and a four-level traction control system. In addition, it also gets ride-by-wire throttle and a second pod. It helps display all additional read outs that are offered with the new electronics.The bike is available in three variants in the international markets-standard, Sport and Special. Reports suggest, the base standard variant will first launch in India.

In addition to the aforementioned features, it also gets a fully adjustable 45 mm USD fork from Marzocchi and a preload/rebound-damping adjustable monoshock from Kayaba. On the other hand, the radial-mounted twin-disc brakes with four-piston Brembo M4.32B callipers are offered as standard fitments across the line-up. While the Scrambler 1100 will not have a direct competitor in India, it will however feel the heat from Triumph Street Triple RS and Triumpg Bonneville Speedmaster that carry similar pricing.
