Ducati teases the new Monster 1200 R
Snapshot: Ducati has shared a glimpse of the new Monster 1200 R, which will soon be unveiled on the 14 September. This super naked will now get more power, even better handling and new design features.
Ducati will very soon unveil the new Ducati Monster 1200 R during the Volkswagen Group Night in Frankfurt on 14 September. This will be the most powerful naked Ducati ever. The engine will make more power than earlier and engineers have tuned its chassis for sharper handling. The teased image suggests design changes with nicer graphics and new colours.
The most powerful Ducati Monster 1200 S already has a powerful 145bhp engine pulling a 209kg naked motorcycle. More power on the new 1200 R would translate to an enhanced riding experience. Ducati also equips electronics like Ducati Traction Control (DTC), power mode selection, ABS and riding modes, which too will get updated software on the new 1200 R.
The competition is strong in the global naked segment with KTM 1290 Super Duke R, Kawasaki Z1000, Suzuki GSX-S1000/S1000F, Triumph Speed Triple R, BMW S1000R Sport, MV Agusta Brutale 1090 RR, Aprilia Tuono V4 ABS, Yamaha V-Max and Benelli TNT R. Ducati Monster has been always been the dashing looking sophisticated motorcycle which if poked with a stick sends several thousand volts of excitement down the riders spine. And the smart electronics kept a check on the happenings. The new 1200 R will be, as expected, more mad than ever, but with updated electronics package and sharper steering. For interested readers, this event takes place just before the IAA 2015 (Internationale Automobilausstellung in Frankfurt am Main) opens its doors to general public who will able to ogle at the motorcycle for the very first time at the Audi booth from 15th to 20th September 2015.
