Ducati to commence Panigale 959 deliveries in August

The iconic Italian motorcycle maker, Ducati replaced the Panigale 899 with the new Panigale 959. The new member in the Panigale family was showcased in India at this year’s India Bike Week. The bike now has 50cc advantage over its predecessor and is 9bhp up in power compared to the latter. It is also among the first of the Superquadro engines from Ducati to have cleared the Euro-4 emission norms. The bike now churns out around 157bhp of maximum power and is equipped with twin barrel shotgun-style exhausts instead of underbelly unit. Being a Ducati it is supposed to be equipped with world class electronics and that it is. From Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), Riding Mode technology including Ride-by-Wire, triple-stage Bosch ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) to Engine Brake Control (EBC) it has everything a modern day supersports rider might need.
Ravi Avalur, Managing Director, Ducati India Pvt Ltd said, "We will start selling the 959 next month and we have started taking bookings. We have received tremendous response in the market for this entry level sports bike. Ultimately our aim is to bring majority of the Ducati bikes that available in the global market to India.”
