Snapshot: Ducati have surely priced the bikes very nicely indeed!
Ducati India has finally launched its one of the most anticipated bike, the XDiavel in Indian market whose price starts at Rs 15.87 lakh and XDiavel S is priced at Rs 18.47 Lakh, both prices (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The XDiavel is the standard version while the XDiavel S is the higher version of the Ducati cruiser. It is also the first time Ducati has come up with a belt driven motorcycle.
Both bikes are powered by the same twin-cylinder Ducati Testastretta DVT 1262 engine which is also found in Ducati Multistrada 1200, but has been tweaked according to XDiavel’s nature and now produces higher torque figures right from low revs. The engine churns out 156hp of maximum power at 9,500rpm while the maximum torque of 13.1kgm sits at 5,000rpm. The Xdiavel has a service interval of 15,000kms/ 1year while its valve timing adjustment is timed at 30,000kms.
Like all Ducati motorcycles, the XDiavel is fully feature packed with electronic wizardry. Its uses Bosch IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) which allows the measurements such as roll and pitch angles, speed of relative changes in attitude. The IMU enables three riding modes (Sport, Touring and Urban), which gives the bike three different characters as preferred riding mode can be selected depending on the terrain condition. The XDiavel also gets Ride By Wire system which allows three different engine power delivery mappings to be used. Its DTC (Ducati Traction Control) has 8 different intervention levels which can be selected on rider’s preference. It also gets DPL (Ducati Power Launch), which can be engaged by using a button on the right switchgear.
