The HX250R when first previewed at the Auto Expo 2014 was a looker, with its sharp styling and edges, the under seat exhaust assembly and that beautiful swingarm, the HX is going to be a deserving flagship for the Hero Motocorp in the country. However, for US of A and Indian two-wheeler giant’s subsidiary and technical partner Erik Buell Racing (EBR), the HX250R is going to be the entry level model when it’s eventually imported to the US. However, the branding strategy in the international markets is unclear as of now.
Developed in association with EBR, the HX250R is aimed at the global market, as evident from the recent trademark registration in USA and Europe. The product would attract young and first time buyers.
Power comes from a 249 cc single-cylinder liquid cooled motor which generates 31 bhp and 26 Nm of torque. The fuel-injected engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
