EICMA 2015 - BMW unveils RnineT Scrambler

Snapshot: If not too extreme, RnineT will be capable enough for moderate off-roading conditions.

The German auto maker has dropped their bombshell RnineT Scrambler at the EICMA 2015. It has been customized with a slew of retro styling elements to give a whole different scrambler look. The bike carries a bunch of retro cues such as round instrument console, competition plate (for racing numbers), sculpted steel fuel tank, meaty Metzler tyres, belly pan, headlamp grille and ofcourse retro peach coloured single seat. The Akrapovic canister gets a chrome treatment, and is high raked towards the left side of the seat.

The BMW RnineT propels the same 1170cc air-cooled twin-cylinder boxer engine that churns out 110bhp of max power and 116Nm of peak torque. An ABS system is fitted as standard on the RninT while the traction control is available as an option. The ride height has been increased on this motorcycle by 35mm, while the footpegs are lowered and handle is moved closer to the rider. It is a Scrambler inspired model that features decent ground clearance, meaty tyres, wide handle-bar, upright riding position and hell of an engine to play around in the dirt. If not too extreme, RnineT will be capable enough for moderate off-roading conditions. Did you like the RnineT Scrambler? Don’t forget to share your views with us in the comment section below.
