Eider Motors Files More Patents, No News Of Launch Yet
Snapshot: Eider has filed patents for three bikes and other components in past few days, but there is no news of the launch. Read to find out details.
Telangana based Eider Motors has been consistently expanding its base since the year began and is getting new dealerships in-line to sell its upcoming motorcycles. The products are on display across all its dealerships, however, there has been no launch or related news as yet. The company filed a patent in July this year for Leora scooter and is again in news for filing more patents for several components from other motorcycles in its line-up.
The patents that have been filed for three motorcycles from its line-up – Dronzer, Stoic and Ruddy. Nothing is known about the official pricing, however, it is clear that Stoic is a commuter bike that will be propelled by a small 107cc (7.6PS Power and 6.5Nm Torque) single cylinder motor and will likely be put against the Hero Splendor, TVS Star City, Honda Dream Series etc. While the Dronzer would the flagship model that would use a 150cc engine and will be a sports commuter; it is expected that the bike will have a top speed of about 120 kmph.
With the Ruddy, which is a small capacity (150cc) Cruiser bike, the company wants to explore another dimension of the motorcycle market. The 150cc motor on the Ruddy would produce 11.5PS of power and 10.5Nm of torque.
Company has now presence in several South Indian states and a dealership in Ulhasnagar, Maharashtra. The patents filed in recent days can be taken for an indication that company would soon be launching the bikes. While nothing is known about the prices of the bikes, we expect that they would be competitively priced keeping in mind the cost-conscious Indian buyers.
