Erik Buell Racing have been facing troubles since quite some time now as few months back the manufacturer filed for bankruptcy and since then things are not on track for EBR. According to Erik Buell racing the company’s assets are going to be auctioned on 21st of this month. Initially the bids will be accepted on 21st of July and status of the bids will be known by 23rd of July.
The priority will be to find a buyer that will fund the manufacturer as a whole, ready to roll business. If things went as expected, the production and manufacturing could be started again and EBR will continue to race as a team. If Erik Buell Racing is not able to find a potential buyer who is ready to buy the lot as a whole then smaller individual bids might be placed for parts and pieces of the bankrupt motorcycle manufacturer, and if those are approved by the judge, Erik Buell Racing as we know it would perish in the pages of history books.
According to EBR's official Facebook page: "The assets have to be broken into segments like this by law, but it is a going concern auction and a number of bidders are coming with the intention to buy all the lots necessary to move the company forward again. The outcome is of course unknown, but it actually looks very good to us."
