Hero MotoCorp is on a very aggressive mode to make their dominance felt in the world. Hero MotoCorp, from the last few months, is trying hard to make their presence felt in the global markets. They are sponsoring all kinds of sports events and also recently entered the U.S markets. After the stint of launches both globally and in Indian markets, the Hero has roped in ex-BMW top personnel, Marcus Braunsperger, to lead the role of Chief Technical Officer.
The move, we suppose, was taken to enhance the quality of products, as Hero is eyeing a much more developed market segment. Braunsperger has served BMW for more than 25 years in various roles ranging from the Research and Development to production and corporate strategy.
Commenting on the appointment, Pawan Munjal, Vice Chairman, CEO and MD, Hero MotoCorp said "With his wealth of domain expertise and global experience, Markus is going to play an integral role in leading Hero's multi-location R&D ecosystem."
"Hero already has lined up a range of exciting new products for the next few years, and I am going to work closely with the team to keep momentum and keep developing winning products for every market around the world that we enter," Braunsperger said.
Markus will replace Harjeet Singh as the CTO, who was looking after the R&D functions at the Hero MotoCorp for past several years. Harjeet Singh will move up the hierarchy, heading the newly created global regulatory function.
