Earlier, we informed you that Maruti has extended the launch of the new Ciaz facelift till the second half of August. The car has been spied in numerous occasion, but covered under the wraps, Autoportal has come out with some new exclusive clear images of the model ahead of its launch that reveals the details.
Talking about the exterior, the new 2018 Ciaz gets will come with some subtle changes compare to the outgoing model. Recently, the company also teased model’s headlamp housing with LED daytime running lights and new glossy front grille. Other noticeable changes that the new Ciaz gets are redesigned front bumper with a trapezium like the grille on the lower side (current model has inverted trapezium styled), chrome finish to the fog lamp housing and to add a touch of boldness, the car now crease lines flowing on the bonnet. The side profile of the model is similar to the existing one, but at the rear end, it gets redesigned tail lamp housing and bumper alloys, to name a few.

Going by the spy images, the new dash clearly speaks of the new light-coloured faux wood inlays, the steering wheel is also new, not with its design, but with the addition of cruise control feature buttons on the right spoke of the steering, the new instrument cluster now get the fuel indicator on the lower side of the speedometer pod and now you also get a foot rest on the drivers side. That apart, it will also cole with a larger instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system that will be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Mechanically, the 2018 Maruti Ciaz facelift will get a new 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine, replace the current 1.4-litre unit. The new four-cylinder engine produces 103bhp of maximum power with 138Nm of peak torque. The petrol version will be offered with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. Whereas, the the diesel engine will be the same 1.3-litre DDiS 200 engine that makes 89bhp of power with 200Nm of top torque. This engine will be offered with 5-speed manual transmission.
