Expect CBR 300R to launch by November

Snapshot: With Honda delivering the CBR 300R to Australia by July, India awaits the elder brother of the highly popular CBR 250R

After many rounds of speculations and denials, Honda has finally decided to go ahead with the production of CBR 300R globally. However the bike was not present at the Auto Expo this year leaving many Honda fans disappointed. But sometime last week, the Australian division of the Japanese giant announced the all-new CBR 300R in Australian showrooms by July this year. The price has also been revealed. The standard variant minus the ABS will be costing AUD 5,699 (Rs 3.10 lakhs) and the variant with ABS will be a little expensive at AUD 5,999 (Rs 3.25 lakhs) which is good news for India as we expect it to be priced a little lesser in India than that in Australia.

There are too many cues that have been borrowed from the big daddy CBR 100R. The new motorcycle will be 8 kgs lighter than its predecessor - the CBR 250R - thanks to its all-new exhaust system and a streamlined chassis. Handling has been improved by tweaking the suspension and the tyres.

The new engine will deliver you a 30.4 bhp of power at 8,500 rpm and an impressive 27 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. Putting all this information together means a much more power to weight ratio resulting in boombastic performance and improved handling. Now suddenly, November has started to seem too distant. We are sure you agree.
