Like we mentioned in a report last day, Toyota is planning something big for 2016. While they have put on hold any new launches in 2015 to focus on safety, it seems like Toyota is ready with its arsenal for the coming year. After the leaked images of Innova and Fortuner, Toyota Corolla has been spotted undisguised.
While we can't say for sure that this is infact the next-generation Corolla after the Geneva fiasco, the changes here are not that subtle and gives an impression that this is the new Toyota Corolla. To give our readers an insight on what happened at the Geneva show - Toyota showcased a Corolla to demonstrate the safety systems with a new bumper design, prompting some publications to report it as the facelift.
The Corolla seen in the images comes with a new bumper albeit with less usage of chrome as compared to the current car. The big chrome slat upfront is now replaced with a black strip, while the only chrome element remaining is a logo that extends till the end of the headlamps. The new Corolla features a dual grille neatly integrated and LED DRLs on both the side of the lower fascia.
On the rear, a fixed spoiler, clear tail-lamps and a deeper rear bumper gives it a more dynamic look than before. While the exteriors will get radical changes, the interiors would be more or less same with better quality materials and added equipments. Toyota will also add many new safety features in this car inline with their efforts to improve safety standards.
