Ferrari India has finally launched 488 GTB at a sticker price of Rs. 3.88 Crore (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. It is seen as the spiritual successor to the company's 458 GT . Ferrari 488 GTB was launched in India by Mr. Aurelien Sauvard, International Sales Director, Ferrari Middle East & Africa. Being honoured with a many awards like the ‘Best Luxury Super Sports Car’ award at the 2015 EXCS International Luxury Motor Show, ‘China Performance Car of the Year’ in Guangzhou, the winner of the Supercars category of The Sunday Times Top 100 Cars, Golden Steering Wheel in the Sports car category from the Polish edition of Auto Bild, Auto Swiat, and more.

Speaking about the new entrant, Mr. Yadur Kapur, Director, Select Cars Pvt. Ltd. said, “We are delighted to launch the Ferrari 488 GTB in New Delhi. We have many loyal Ferrari owners and fans in Northern India and this new launch allows us to bring them a fantastic new model in our market. For those asking, the 488 GTB has been designed to increase downforce by 53% over the model of the Ferrari 458 GT while reducing aerodynamic drag The Ferrari 488 GTB sports aerodynamics patented solutions, such front double splitter, which increases radiator cooling and a newly designed integrated blown rear spoiler at the rear decklid as well as innovative features like the 458 GT-derived aerodynamic underbody with vortex generators, which results in a new Aero Efficiency record of 1.67 for a Ferrari. The 488 GTB also gets second generation Slide Slip Control (SSC2) which allows the driver to powerslide through the corners much faster while keeping the car in control in case of slipping or crashing.

Interesting part about this Ferrari is under the hood where it derives its power from a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, and is Ferrari’s first mid-engined twin-turbo V8 since the iconic 288 GTO and F40. The motor is connected with a 7-speed F1 dual clutch transmission that capable to produce 670 PS of power and 760 Nm of torque. It can bolt from 0-100 kmph in mere 3 seconds and 0-200 kmph in 8.3 seconds before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of over 330 kmph.
