Ferrai has launched its most successful front-engined sportscar California T at a sticker price of Rs. 3.45 Crores (Ex-Showroom, Mumbai) in India. Ferrari cars would be retailed in India via two new dealerships in Delhi and Mumbai. Being a 2-door, 4-seater and hard-top cabriolet, the California T has registered two confirmed bookings and it would be available at Navnit Motors in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai from October.
Ferrari California T comes loaded with a 3855cc twin-turbo V8 engine which develops a maximum power of 553bhp and peak torque of 755Nm. Weighing 1730 kgs, it touches the 100kmph mark from standstill in a mere 3.6 seconds, while clocking a top speed of 316kmph. In terms of exterior appearance, the California T resembles a lot to the F12 Berlinetta, predominantly the front fascia with LED headlamps and identical grille. At the rear, there are quad exhaust pipes, which are horizontally aligned this time as opposed to previous model's vertical set up. New tail-lamp cluster sums up the changes at the rear end of the Ferrari California T.
Inside the cabin, California T boasts of a 6.5-inch high resolution touchscreen system, and a Turbo Performance Engineer (TPE) gauge. The seats and dashboard are finished in Frau semi-aniline leather. Just so you know, apart from Navnit Motors in Mumbai, one can also book Ferrari cars in Delhi as a new dealership is being opened on Mathura Road. Also, the Italian carmaker has revealed that it's annual quota for India for 2015 has already been sold out and it is taking bookings for 2016. “India has unfortunately not had the explosion in sales that high-end manufacturers were predicting five to 10 years ago. We’re quite optimistic now that, as our cars come on the road and we increase awareness of the brand, sales will increase,” said Aurelien Sauvard, Sales Head, Ferrari India.
