If you think Apple, Google or may be the Facebook, is this world's most influential brand, than sorry to disappoint you over that!
As according to the Brand Finance Global 500, an annual study conducted by leading brand valuation consultancy, Italian carmaker 'Ferrari' has topped the list of world's most powerful brands, when tested on the basis of desirability, loyalty and consumer sentiment to visual identity, online presence and employee satisfaction.
Ferrari is one of only eleven brands including Google, Coca-Cola, Disney and Rolex to be awarded with an 'AAA+' brand rating, while the other leading carmakers- BMW and Porsche achieved an 'AAA' rating, with Toyota, Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz, ranked just below them.
Luca di Montezemolo, the architect of Ferrari’s successful story, said: "This is a very important result that comes as a direct consequence of the huge effort made by everyone. We wanted to maintain a high level of exclusivity, designing amazing products such as the LaFerrari, the 458 Speciale and the just launched California T, the result of significant investment in product and technological innovation."
Last year, Ferrari's production was actually down by just over five percent, not because of the market slump or any other production obstacle, but due the company’s strategy to increase the brand value of its products by limiting production numbers.
Ferrari will soon begin deliveries of its most expensive car yet, the astonishing V12-electric LaFerrari hybrid, of which just 499 exclusive units are being built. All LaFerraris were sold even before it actually made its public debut.
