The advancement of technology in last few years has revolutionised the whole world whether its about a tiny calling gadget in your hand or about the large capacity engines under the hood of awe-inspiring exotic cars or the super-fast F1 cars. Now this inevitable change has reached the Italian automaker, Ferrari, which has started working on the development of its 458 Italia replacement which is likely to be powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 engine, ending the era of natural-aspirated V8 engine in Ferrari outlets! This of course is in keeping with the global trend of downsizing.

The new development is said to happen to he competition of potent players like McLaren 650S which are much-popular in the market these days. Moreover, strict emission regulations and efficient engines in competition has also bound the company to take its legendary mechanical excellence to the next level. However, it is not confirmed that the new Ferrari will replace the existing 458 Italia series or not but its likely to share its underpinnings with the existing model, similarly as F430 was based on 360 Modena baseline. Recently a test mule has been spotted testing in winter conditions.

The company unveiled the 458 Italia for the very first time in 2009 at Frankfurt Motor Show as the successor of F430. The 458 Italia is a mid-engined sports car powered by a 4.5-litre natural aspirated V8 that produces the might of 570 PS at 9000 RPM and 670 Nm of torque, of which 80 per cent is available at just 3250 RPM.
