Fiat India introduces 5x5 offer to revive sales

Snapshot: 5X5 offer comes with 5-year warranty (3-year standard + 2-year extended warranty), 5-year roadside assistance and five free services upon the purchase of any Fiat car.

Fiat India has come up with a new lucrative offer in order to increase the footfall at its showroom and revive the deteriorating sales figures. This new offer is '5X5', under which a buyer gets 5-year warranty (3-year standard + 2-year extended warranty), 5-year roadside assistance and five free services upon the purchase of any Fiat car. Also, five couples gets an opportunity to travel to Italy and even the company is offering its Linea sedan at a mere 5.5 percent interest rate.

For quite a long time, Fiat has been lying at the bottom of sales charts in India. Even the launch of Avvnetura pseudo-crossover couldn't tempt the buyers and revive Fiat's lean patch. Moreover, Nagesh Basavanhalli, Ex-President & Managing Director, Fiat India quit the company at a time when it was mulling to introduce the performance-based Abarth brand in the country. Even, the company had lavish plans of launching its Jeep brand in India, but now nothing is concrete. However, the company has said that it will introduce the Abarth brand in the country this year only, with Kevin Flynn filling in the boots of Nagesh Basavanhalli.

But, one thing must be noted, Fiat has excelled as an engine supplier as couple of leading Indian automajors such as Maruti & Tata use its popular 1.3L MultiJet diesel engine in all their diesel cars. The company is banking quite high on the 5X5 offer as it expects that it would certainly pull people to its showrooms across the nation. Currently, Fiat India sells four vehicles in the country - Linea, Linea Classic, Punto and Avventura.
