Fiat India has launched the Punto Pure at introductory price of Rs. 4.49 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, New Delhi) at the 2016 Auto Expo. Fiat Punto Pure is basically the pre-facelift version (Grande Punto) of Punto. The Punto Pure diesel is priced at Rs. 5.59 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, New Delhi). The hatch would be available in three exterior colors: Exotica Red, Hip Hop Black and White. In addition, the Italian automaker also unveiled Linea 125s and Urban Cross concept. Both the aforementioned vehicles would go on sale in this year.
Talking about Fiat Punto Pure, it comes with 14-inch steel wheels as standard. The new hatch also gets black coloured ORVMs and door handles. Though, the bumpers are body coloured and there are rear fog lamps present as well. The interior cabin is identical to the Grande Punto with all the features carried over. The instrument cluster comes with Digital Clock, Digital Odometer, Digital Trip meter, Distance to Empty Indicator, to name a few. Mechanically, the Punto Pure 5-door hatch is offered in both petrol and diesel fuel trims. The petrol variants are powered by a 1.2L FIRE engine which develops 67bhp of top power and peak torque of 96Nm at 2500rpm. On the other hand, the diesel variants get the 1.3L Multi-jet engine which belts out 75bhp of top power and 197Nm of highest torque at 1750rpm. Both these engines are paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Fiat Punto Pure will be the entry level vehicle in the B segment and would be be available at all the company dealerships across the country, after the Auto Expo. “FCA has exciting plans for the Indian market.
