Force Gurkha RFC, India’s toughest rally motorsport event, based on an international platform, is set in Goa for its grand fourth season. Starting from 22nd of July 2017, this rally sport has been a much-needed amusement for the people who call themselves an off-road motorsport enthusiast.
The fourth season of the Force Gurkha RFC has been slated to be the toughest off road motorsport event since the inception on July 22nd. It will be held at various locations all across the state of Goa. The event is scheduled to end on the 30th of July, after a long 9 days adrenaline contest among the participants.
This year, there are 40 teams from different parts of the country competing against each other. Each team comprises of a driver and his co-driver, who will be crossing all obstacles to come out victorious in this motorsport and get awarded with a whopping USD 8,000 as the monetary benefit. The winner will also be awarded a free entry to the RFC (Rainforest Event) Mother Event which will be held in Malaysia in the later part of the year.
The founder and Director of Cougar Motorsport, Mr Ashish Gupta had said at the beginning of the event that it is indeed very heartening to see such a good response this year. In fact, the number of participants is also the most for any edition till date.
The Force Gurkha RFC started off with vehicle scrutiny on the 22nd of July and the participants were briefed about the rules and regulations. The event was flagged off on the following day (23rd). The Minister of Town and Country Planning of the State Government, Mr Vijay Sardesai, is the Chief Guest of the event.
However, the organising authority has brought about a big change in the schedule. Unlike the previous years, this year the event will start from the heart of the off road part of Goa and will conclude in the main city.
