Earlier, we informed that Force Motors working on a new variant of the Gurkha called the Gurkha Xtreme. Though, the official dates of the launch has not been announced yet and the brochure of the model is out ahead of its launch event. The new Gurkha Xtreme gets similar looks, compared to the Gurkha Xplorer, but would come with a more powerful engine.
Force Gurkha Xtreme is based on a ladder frame chassis and would be configured in a 3-door body style. Dimensionally, the model measures 3,992 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width and 2,055 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,400 mm. The ground clearance is 205 mm. Compared to the standard version, the front track width has been increased by 40 mm and this one comes with a fuel tank capacity of 63.5 litres. The Gurkha Xtreme gets a rectangular grille with the Force signature in the centre and circular headlamps. Upfront, the car gets a black front bumper with integrated fog lamps, muscular wheel arches and chrome finished snorkel. Gurkha Xtreme would be offered in 6 or 8 seat configuration and you can also choose between a hard or soft top.
Under the bonnet, the Gurkha Xtreme will be power packed in a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine sourced by Mercedes, that belts out 138 bhp of maximum power with 321 Nm of top torque. That apart, the engine will be paired with a new 5-speed manual transmission, where you also get selective 4x4 transfer case with high and low range options.ac
