Pune-based Force Motors made a comeback in the passenger vehicles segment back in 2011 with the Force One SUV. At the time, the hard-core off-roader was offered on sale in two trim levels: the EX and the SX. The top-end LX variant however, was only announced and never actually went on the showroom floors. That is until now.
Force Motors have officially rolled out the top-end LX variant of the Force One SUV in the Indian market with prices starting at Rs 13.98 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and Rs 13.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Navi-Mumbai.) With the said development, the One LX is now the only model in the line-up to be available with an electronic-shift on the fly four-wheel drive system.
The Force One 4X4 comes powered by a 2.2-litre BS4 turbocharged diesel engine that is capable of churning out 141PS of max power and 321Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-Speed manual transmission. Company claimed top speed is 160 kmph. Dimensionally, the SUV measures 4,860mm X 1,780mm X 1,935mm in length, width and height with a wheelbase of 3,025mm and a ground clearance of 145mm. The model comes equipped with disc brakes in the front and drums at the rear. It also gets ABS and EBD.
Design and feature-wise the LX is not very different from the SX and the EX variants. It features the same projector headlamps with DRLs and fog lamps in the front. The electrically adjustable mirrors get turn indicators on them. The model will only be offered as a seven seater and comes equipped with a 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth, leather upholstery and independent air con vents for all three rows.
The deliveries of the Force One 4X4 have commenced in the country from today.
