Ford India has updated the famous compact SUV – the EcoSport that has been a starter of the compact SUV era in the country. Ford EcoSport received a feature update last year along with an updated 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a new signature edition for the model. The major shuffle will also witness price cut on some selected variants of the model lineup. Recently, Ford EcoSport Thunder variant was spotted that makes it obvious that Ford is making its efforts getting the product as more competitive in the market.
Ford EcoSport Thunder variant will come as a new variant for the model that will come with dual-tone leather upholstery, a new 9-inch touchscreen display with FLyAudio system, sunroof, a newly styled set of alloys, spare wheel cover, black sunroof and decal on the bonnet. This variant is said to replace Ford EcoSport Titanium Signature edition that was available with fabric upholstery and sunroof only. Expect it to be offered with either a 1.5-litre petrol or a diesel engine paired with a manual gearbox.
That apart, the Ford EcoSport Titanium+ will witness price cut between a range of Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000, as some of the equipment from its list will be shredded. AS per some sources, the Titanium+ will miss out on some features such as leather seats, Ford’s Sync3 and cruise control system and instead will come packed with sunroof, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with FlyAudio and side sticker as well. It is expected to come with the same set of powertrain as the outgoing variant – 1.5-litre petrol with manual as well as automatic transmission and a 1.5-litre diesel unit with manual transmission.

There no details that whether the top-end EcoSport S variant will be offered further or not, but sources say that Ford might get a more luring range-topping variant with a competitive price tag on it and would be feature loaded.
