The launch of the all-new Ford EcoSport in the month of November has certainly been impactful in terms of increasing its sales, as the compact SUV managed to claim the fourth spot in the list of top 10 UVs for the month of November. On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki remains the hot favourite in the UV segment with its three models making their way to the top 10 list.

The rollout of the new Ford EcoSport in November has earned it the fourth spot in the list, up by two places from the sixth spot. The sales of the UV reached 5,474 units in the domestic market during November, while it clocked the sales of 4,092 units in October. It competes against the likes of Tata Nexon, Honda WR-V and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza in the Indian market. Moreover, the company is also looking to export the next-gen model to the United States in 2018.

The likes of Vitara Brezza, Ertiga and S-Cross are driving the sales of Maruti Suzuki in the segment. The popular SUV from the Indo-Japanese company, Vitara Brezza retains its top spot in the list by reaching the sale number of 14,458 units in November, which was 9,719 in October this year.

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross are also listed in the top 10 UVs list for the month of November in 2017. However, the position of both the car has seen a drop from its position as compared to the last month. The Ertiga clocked the sales of 4,682 units in November in comparison to 5,413 unit in October, while the S-Cross managed to sell 3,363 units during November, which was 1,979 units in October.

The major entry to the list is the latest SUV, Tata Nexon, which has managed to enter the list in spite of launching in mid-November. It has garnered the sale of 4,163 units during the period, which keeps it on the seventh spot in the list. Utility vehicles have retained their domination in the passenger vehicle segment in 2017, which has witnessed a growth in sales by 44.65 percent compared to the same period in 2016.
