The general depredation in environment has made the car manufacturers very aware of discerning customers who believe it is their duty to avoid polluting the atmosphere with CO2 emissions.  The new models of cars come with environmental friendly features.  The new model of Ford Ecosport, which was introduced in the motor show in Geneva, held in March 2013, boasts an environmentally friendly system.  Many the countries in Europe have very stringent environment friendly rules and for a vehicle to be accepted by a European customers it needs pass all these rules successfully.

Ford has adopted a new policy to build up its line of Sports Utility Vehicles.  The new addition is a part of this policy decision.  It is built on the lines of globally accepted norms for B sector cars.  In the speed, flexibility and efficient use of fuel it is on par with a smaller model family car, yet it is very large in space and easy to handle. Thus it adds all the quality of a small family car to the advantages of a Sports Utility Vehicle.
The engine is fuel efficient and offers many efficient “powertrains,”.  This includes a petrol engine of 1.0L “EcoBoost”.  It also offer a petrol engine of 1.5L.  It has announced that in future they are going to introduce a new diesel engine of 1.5L which is likely to be very fuel efficient.

The shape of the car has been modified.  The model has big grille and a smaller bonnet in front. The front lamps are shaped angular. All these features give a modern look to the vehicle.  Other important features are the use of a “Ford SYNC” system which connects the system to “AppLink”.  The system can be activated by the voice.  This system also links the driver and the passengers to the local services in case of emergency.

This world well known vehicle was first developed for the South American sector, where it was unveiled in 2003.  Ford sold nearly 700000 cars in South America.  The model introduced at Geneva was first introduced in 2012 for Brazilian markets and it is hoped that it will shortly be introduced in the growing markets in Asia as well.  Hopefully it will be introduced in Indian markets this year.
