The automotive giant from America, ‘Ford’ has recently unveiled its latest Sports Utility Vehicle model in the Indian car market. The ‘Ford EcoSport’ model has been generating a lot of hype in the international as well as in the Indian car market. With the introduction of this model Ford hopes to capture the attention of a large segment of prospective customers who prefer driving a ‘compact’ SUV instead of a sedan. The vehicle is priced very reasonably in the Indian market is likely to become popular and give a stiff competition to Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Renault Duster and other similar type of vehicles.
Ford has now unveiled ‘Ford EcoSport’ in ‘Nepal’ as well. Like in India, the model will come with ’10 variants. It will have seven color options. The prospective customer can now choose a car in silver, blue, red, grey, black and white. There will be a choice in ‘trims’ as well. The options offered are ‘Trend, Ambiente, titanium and titanium plus’. The vehicle has three variants, and the customer can select ‘1.0’ Litre ‘EcoBoost’, or ‘1.5’ Litre petrol or ‘1.5 Litre diesel’. There are options in ‘petrol automatic transmission’ as well. Further more, ‘EcoBoost’ ‘1.0’ Litre engine has two options, ‘titanium and titanium plus. Both ‘1.5 Litre petrol engine and ‘1.5 L diesel engine’ has 4 trims. Petrol powered engine 1.5 Litre also has six speed 2 clutch automatic transmission system. The vehicle is priced between the range of 2,850,000 and 4,290,000 NPR. Ford has appointed a distributor to sell their vehicle in the car market in Nepal.
