Ford EcoSport Titanium and Titanium+ Get New Instrument Cluster

Ford India has updated the Titanium and Titanium+ variants of its top-selling sub-four meter SUV, EcoSport with a new instrument cluster. The new instrument cluster features a 4.2-inch Multi-information Display (MID) unit and chrome rings around tachometer and speedometer. This is the same unit which is offered with the fully-loaded, top-spec Ford EcoSport S variant which features Ford’s 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine. Interestingly, the prices of the Titanium and Titanium+ variants (petrol and diesel) remain unchanged.

Talking of the petrol-powered variant, the new 1.5-litre Ti-VCT three-cylinder engine from company’s Dragon series of engine sits under the hood. In terms of output, the new petrol unit makes top power of 121bhp along with peak torque of 150 Nm. Transmission choices offered with this engine includes a conventional 5-speed manual unit and an optional 6-speed automatic torque converter.

The diesel version of the SUV derives power from the 1.5-litre TDCi, four-cylinder engine that is paired to a 5-speed unit as standard. One must note, the Titanium variant remains unchanged save for the new instrument cluster. That said, it continues to feature other styling elements such as the chrome grille, projector headlamps, roof rails, 16-inch alloy wheels and LED daytime running lights. While on the inside, it features premium fabric seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, gear knob, 60/40 split seats and ambient lighting among several others.

The Titanium+ variant, on the other hand, continues to feature the premium leather interior, glove box illumination, a cargo area management system flat-bed seats, larger 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers. The safety kit on the Titanium+ comprises a rear-view camera, cruise control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, paddle shifters and six airbags including side-bags and curtain-bags.

As for the pricing, the Titanium MT is available at Rs 9.55 lakh, the Titanium+ at Rs 10.52 lakh and Titanium AT can be had for Rs 11.35 lakh. The diesel variants are priced slightly higher at Rs 9.99 lakh for the Titanium MT and Rs 11.04 lakh for the Titanium+ (all ex-showroom, Delhi prices).
