Ford has carried out cosmetic changes to the Ford Endeavour-based Everest Sport SUV.
The Ford Everest Sport SUV is available in Asian and Australian markets.
First images reveal cosmetic changes to the Ford Everest (Endeavour) Sport. The Ford Everest Sport exterior gets an all-black treatment with matter-black accents replacing the SUV’s chrome bits.
Besides, the old family grille, characteristic on all Ford SUVs goes out with a new grille and mesh design replacing the same. The top-end versions of the Ford Everest Sport get blacked-out 20-inch alloy wheels.
The Ford Everest Sport interior comes in black, as well with minor tweaks to the design to complement the Sports theme. The sides and the front get unique badging to make it look attractive. Only the 3.2L Everest comes with a Sport trim in the international markets.
In India, the Ford Endeavour is available with both 2.2L and 3.2L diesel engine variants. Three trim options are available for the SUV that mate with either an automatic torque converter unit of a 6-speed manual gearbox system.
The Ford Endeavour offers fierce competition to the Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu MU-X, and the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. The Indian market is not receiving the Sport variant anytime soon.
One can expect the Ford Endeavour to be available with a BSVI engine upgrade in the months leading to the April 2020 deadline. A Sport Trim would have been extremely useful to enhance the SUV’s appeal in the Indian automobile market.
