American carmaker Ford has revealed a new version of the Figo hatchback at the progressing Sao Paulo Auto Show. The Figo is called as Ka in the Brazilian market and the new variation that weights on the sportiness and customization capability of the hatchback has been named as Ka Trail.

It gets a more masculine stance when against the conventional model with a host of cosmetic updates on board. The Ford Figo Cross includes aggressive front grille, swept back headlamps and newly designed bumpers. Additionally it gets darkened out fog light enclouser and silver skid plates for sporty looks. The car rides on 15-inch alloy wheels fitted with dual season tires. Plastic cladding on the wheel arches, blackened side view mirrors, door handles and roof rails alongside trail body decals provides more masculine and sporty look to the car. On the inside, the Ka Trail comes with leather seats with orange and green stitches, sports pedal and door sill plates that shows Trail logo.

Where other cross breeds of the popular hatchback only comes with cosmetic add-ons, the Ka Trail gets a raised suspension that increases its ride height and helps it to glide over potholes quite easily.

According to Fernando Pfeiffer, Product Manager for Ford, the Ka Trail is a youthful adventurer profile vehicle with accessories uniquely created by Ford's designer group to highlight its liveliness and robustness.

Ford India is soon supposed to bring a crossover variant of Figo, which will go up against Fiat Avventura, Hyundai i20 Active and Toyota Etios Cross. Chances are high that the Ka Trail will be launched in India as the Figo Cross. In fact, launch of a hybrid version of the Figo in India can also be expected by mid 2017.
