Ford is readying a facelift version of the Figo that is expected to make its launch in sometime next year. The car has been spotted testing on the Indian roads and was covered with heavy camouflage. The new Ford Figo will be manufactured at the brand's Sanand facility in Gujarat.
In terms of updates, the new Figo will get some cosmetic updates to its front fascia as well as rear. The styling will be inspired the company’s new model that are being sold in other market. Not only this, the car was also seen riding black-painted alloy wheels. Inside, the new model is expected to get a new dash layout along with a new touchscreen infotainment.
Under the hood, the 2018 ford Figo would be offered in both petrol and diesel guise. The petrol version will be powered by company’s new 1.5-litre 3-cylinder Dragon series engine and on the other hand, the diesel variant would get a 1.5-litre TDCi engine that makes a power of 99 bhp with 215 Nm of top torque. Transmission options available are - a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT automatic.
The face-lifted version of Ford Figo will compete with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Nissan Micra and Hyundai Grand i10. It is expected to be priced between a range of Rs 5 lakh to 8 lakh (Ex Showroom).
