Ford Freestyle has grabbed everyone’s attention with its stylish and bold appearance. The American auto manufacturer is ready to launch it on 26th April. The compact crossover is based on the Ford Figo, but gets several distinctive design elements. Ford has already started receiving bookings for the car and delivery of the model is expected to commence from early next month.
Speaking about its style, the Ford Freestyle appears with a bold and black mesh front grille, while the large headlamps help in adding style. The car also gets blackened fog lamp housings, muscular bumper and skid plate. It runs on sporty alloy wheels. The black cladding, turn indicator integrated ORVMs, wraparound taillights along with sturdy roof rails add zing to the car.
Not only exterior, the cabin of Ford Freestyle is also packed with advanced features. It gets a touchscreen infotainment system with Ford SYNC3. The dual-tone dashboard, circular AC vents come enhancing its style further. In terms of space too, Ford Freestyle comes impressing us. As it appears, the car takes interior design cue from the new Ford EcoSport. On the safety front, it gets dual front airbags and ABS as standard across all the variants.
On the powertrain front, Ford Freestyle gets an all-new Dragon series 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. Paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, this engine is capable of churning out 96 bhp of peak power and 120 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes more efficient and powerful compared to the Ford Figo’s 1.2-litre Duratec unit.
