Ford India has launched its popular in-car technology - FORD SYNC - in the EcoSport compact SUV in the country. Ford EcoSport is only the second vehicle in company's portfolio to endorse this highly user-friendly in-vehicle communications and entertainment system, after the Fiesta mid-sized sedan. FORD SYNC enables the occupants to access their smartphone apps via voice commands. However, it would be only offered with the range-topping Titanium grade of the EcoSport.
"Introduction of Ford AppLink enhances the value proposition offered by Ford EcoSport," said Anurag Mehrotra, executive director Marketing Sales and Service, at Ford India. "Consumers today are leading an increasingly connected lifestyle and wish to stay up-to-date even while on the move. Ford AppLink addresses this unmet need and helps them stay connected without ever compromising on convenience."
The American automajor Ford is working hard to join hands with multiple app partners both in India and aborad to add to the list of Ford AppLink compatible applications. Recently, the company brought a good news for all the cricket lovers, who love to be updated with latest cricket news and scores, as it successfully added the ESPN Cricinfo to the list. Apart from this, various other helpful mobile apps such as explore by MapMyIndia and Glympse are already added to the list. The former is location-based application, while the latter is a a globally renowned secure location sharing application.
