Hyundai India will launch new cars in the country in the coming months including the Grand i10 NIOS, set to come out on August 20, 2019. Next on the list is Hyundai Elantra Facelift, new-gen Creta and Xcent Facelift. These models have been spied testing on the Indian roads, divulging vital details about their styling and equipment level.
The first model to come out from the above-mentioned models is the new-gen Grand i10 NIOS which will receive aplenty tweaks including BS6 compliant 1.2L petrol and 1.2L diesel engine. These motors will come with a standard five-speed manual unit and an optional five-speed Smart Auto AMT. Besides, it has grown in size with a 40mm increase in length, 20mm in width and 25 mm in wheelbase. It also received copious cosmetic changes on the outside as well as inside.
Hyundai’s star model, Creta will also see a generation change sometime next year. Inspired by the China-spec ix25, the new-gen Creta could be displayed at the Auto Expo 2020. On the outside, it will sport tweaks in line of new Hyundai SUVs, while interiors will pack a host of new connectivity and another tech.
A new-generation version of Hyundai Grand i10’s sedan twin, Xcent is also underway. Under the hood, it will continue to get the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.2-litre diesel engines that will be updated to abide by the upcoming BS6 norms.
In addition to the above models, Hyundai’s executive sedan, Elantra will also get a facelift. Aesthetic changes will be made to the exterior and interior along with the addition of new connectivity as well as comfort tech. The facelifted Elantra is expected to launch in India by September of October.
