After many months of making the fans wait, the English luxury car manufacturer who is also a subsidiary of Tata Motors Limited, Jaguar finally revealed the C-X17 Sports Crossover Concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor show. This car has been produced as a design study to pioneer the brand’s all new and advanced aluminum monocoque structural design which has been codenamed as iQ. Jaguar quotes that all future cars that roll out of the brands’ assembly line will be built on the same platform.
The iQ design is a combination of modular and scalable car construction, which is extremely strong, lightweight, integrates modern technology and tremendously rigid. Since Jaguar is known as a ‘luxury’ automaker, the creativity and materials used in the creation are nothing less than irreplaceable. Since the car is a Sports Crossover, Jaguar has stretched the design possibilities to the limit. By coalescing the driving experience of a sports car with the presence of an SUV and the design and styling of a luxury sedan. This car symbolizes the probable development of the brands’ assortment of body styles that is predicted by the company to win the hearts of many.
The Global Brand Director, Mr. Adrian Hallmark quoted that, the C-X17 is a representation of the new route Jaguar is heading towards. The main rationale of them is to highlight the new technology which is none other than their new iQ body construction architecture. With this technical advancement the brand is planning to increase their marketing potential more than what it is and is trying to get an appeal from the customers. The combination of the extremely practical body design, incomparable luxury and ultra efficient engines, Jaguar is all geared up to once again set the standards for the luxury car segment worldwide. The new Crossover is 4,718 mm long, 1,649 mm tall with 23 inch alloy wheels.
