The German automobile manufacturer Audi unveiled its Nanuk Quattro Concept at Frankfurt Motor Show, today. It was surprising as the automobile industry did not know the details about this reveal before the event. The crossover is built with both race track and on-road dynamics. The high performance of the sports car is suitable for race tracks and its smooth driving for highways. This car is developed by Audi in collaboration with designers of Italdesign Giugiaro.
It is powered by new V10 TDI, installed longitudinally in the front of the rear axle. The two seated car has its core designed with a 5 liter diesel engine that produces a maximum power of 544 BHP and delivers a maximum Torque of 1000 NM. The twin turbo register unit in the car is controlled by the Audi Valve lift system (AVS). The engine delivers the Torque produced, to the Quattro drive train using a seven speed S tronic transmission. The concept revealed by the company shows that the car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 Kmph within 3.8 seconds. The expected top speed of the vehicle is 305 Kmph.
The wheels of the car are about 22 inches in size, which are covered by the 235/50 series tires in front and 295/45 at the back. The brakes built-in can withstand high temperatures and are abrasion resistant as they are fabricated with carbon fiber ceramics. The adaptive suspension of the car is controlled electronically by dampers. The ground clearance of the vehicle can be manually adjusted by the driver in three stages normal, 40 mm higher, 30 mm lower. The system automatically controls the level of the body based on the predictive route data from the navigation system and the driving speed.
The car is included with Audi Matrix LED technology which helps in toggling the low beam and high beam in the headlights. The car appears clean and open while driving under a low beam, but focused and powerful while driving under high beams. The steering wheel and center tunnel console features all the control elements like touch wheel for navigation, air suspension electronically controlled, multimedia functions and turn lights. It includes power adjustable elements like folding backs, side bolsters, and integrated head restraints. The inductive charger in the Audi phone box can be used for mobile charging.
