A few days after the digital introduction of the 2017 Skoda Octavia, the company has revealed a little more about its newest release, which sheds more light on the sedan.
After undergoing the facelift, the Skoda Octavia has been fitted with an attractively designed dashboard. The seat upholstery gets a fresh design along with the ambient lighting that comes with ten optional colours. The convenience and comfort level gets an upgradation and additional features like PET bottle holder, foldable tables, and a heated steering wheel have been attached. A customisable key has been fitted, which initiates the already saved settings as soon as the driver unlocks the car.
Earlier, you must have read about the Skoda Octavia undergoing a facelift, and getting a few upgradations, some major and some subtle. The front profile has been trimmed with a wider look and full-LED headlamps. The upgradation has further brought in a new info-entertainment system in the sedan car. All the four wings of the infotainment system, the Swing and Bolero and the navigation systems of Amundsen and Columbus now feature capacitive display in a glass-made design. The Columbus navigation system features a 9.2-inch with advanced features like WLAN hotspot router and SIM card module with Long Term Evolution (4G) speed to enable a super fast Internet connection.
Technically, the 2017 edition of the Skoda Octavia will be available in four TDI and five TSI engine variants and their displacement will range between 1.0-2.0 litres. Almost all the engines work on DSG transmission system and six or seven gears apiece. The power output ranges somewhere between 84-bhp and a high 184-bhp.
