General Motors India to hike prices of its entire range of vehicles by up to Rs 10,000 by the new year. According to the company, this increment is a result of rising input costs and the new prices will be effective from January 1, 2014.

Before General Motors, auto manufacturers including Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Hyundai and Maruti-Suzuki have already announced a price hike from the coming year.

P Balendran, VP General Motors India said, "We plan to hike prices across our entire product portfolio by up to Rs 10,000 from January. This is due to cost pressure."
