Nexa, the country’s largest automaker’s dealership has made renewed some attempts in the premium segment, it seems things are not quite impressive as expected. Reportedly, certain Nexa outlets in Delhi are offering heavy discounts on the 1.6-litre variants of the Maruti Suzuki S-cross and these dealerships are set to offer the delta variant additional equipments too.
Previously, the S-Cross was being offered with a discount of around Rs 1 lakh and now the discount has been raised up to Rs 2.9 lakh for the Maruti S-Cross DDiS 320 Delta variant. The Alpha and Zeta variant of the S-Cross 1.6-litre DDiS 320 are also said to be offered with a discount of Rs 2 lakhs. Dealers are offering the Delta variant with additional equipments like navigation system and alloy wheels.
The S-Cross DDiS 320 is packed with a 1.6-litre diesel motor connected to a 6-speed manual transmission, which generates 120 PS and 320 Nm of torque, which is sourced from Fiat (MultiJet). Without discounting, the S-Cross Cross DDiS 320 Delta is priced at Rs 11.99 lakhs, the DDiS 320 Zeta is priced for Rs 12.99 lakhs and the range-topping DDiS 320 Alpha obviously have a topping price of Rs 13.74 lakhs (ex-showroom prices, Delhi).
While the S-Cross is struggling to make its stand in the Indian car market, its immediate rival Hyundai Creta is joyously giving an impressive response with over 70,000 bookings.
