GST Impact: Bajaj Auto Offering Savings of Rs. 4500 on Motorcycles

Snapshot: Customers can now walk into authorized company showrooms to understand savings and avail of Rs. 4500 for bookings between June 14-30, 2017.

Bajaj Auto has reduced the price of its motorcycle range by upto Rs. 4500 depending on the model and the state in which the motorcycle is purchased in the country. As quite clear that taxes on motorcycles shall reduce in most states with the implementation of GST on July 1, 2017. Therefore, as a special gesture, the company has decided to offer post GST reduced prices to customers with immediate effect i.e. from 14th June 2017 itself. The post GST benefits would vary for each state, and differ across motorcycle models.

With the GST implementation just around the corner we felt that it would be appropriate to pass on this significant savings to customers. Bajaj Auto is proud to be the first and only motorcycle company in India, to offer post GST reduced prices to customers even before the implementation date. Customers no longer need to wait for 1st July to buy their desired Bajaj Motorcycle.” Customers can now walk into authorized Bajaj Auto dealerships to understand the savings and avail of the same for bookings between 14th June and 30th June 2017.

Just so you know, Bajaj Auto was the first in the industry to upgrade its entire model line-up to BS-IV standards, much before the 1st April 2017 deadline. The GST saving initiative is yet another first for Bajaj Auto. Meanwhile, several leading luxury automakers such as Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi, Jaguar Land Rover have already slashed the prices of their locally assembled (Make-in-India) models, prior to the implementation of GST. Even the American automaker Ford is offering benefits across its entire range of vehicles by upto Rs. 50,000. Toyota India also revealed that the prices of Fortuner SUV are going to be lowered down by approx. 1.5 Lakhs in the country due to GST.
