The car which entered the record books is 25 inches tall and 4 feet in length, this little car has entered the book as the world’s smallest road worthy car, which can really be driven on the road, safely too. This record making car was designed and created by Austin Coulson who is a custom car maker from the United States of America. Since this little machine is street legal, he can drive it pretty much anywhere he wants it to.

Austin Coulson said, that he always wanted to have a Guinness World record under his name, especially for some related to automobiles which has been his favorite since the beginning of time. For that he went back home and looked up the current world record for the smallest car ever made and thought to himself that he could do it, and he did. The car is exactly 25 inches in height 2 feet 1.75 inches wide and 4 feet in length. It also wears a Texas vanity license plate with the letters “IM BIG” engraved on it. The Guinness Book officials said, for the car to be considered as street legal, it definitely had to be registered.

So Austin had to install the car with law required safety features and take the car to the DMV to get it registered. According to the Motor laws of the United States for a car to be registered, it should have minimal safety feature such as functioning wipers, government approved safety glass windshield, horns, seat belts, and front and rear lights that have been accepted by the transportation department. Austin further added that, when he told his family that he was attempting to break the record they were a little dubious about it. All throughout the process of creating that tiny car, they kept shouting questions after questions. He concluded by saying that, his family clearly knew that he could build that car, but were not at all sure that he could have gotten it registered.
