Harley Davidson is on a roll in India. With the Street 750 it has touched the sweet spot of the Indian market and the Indian customer has given them an extraordinary reception making the Street 750 a huge hit. The Street 750 now accounts to almost 85% of the monthly business of Harley-Davidson in the metro's like Delhi. With the arrival of its younger sibling just round the corner, the Street 500, Harley-Davidsons growth story will only increase exponentially in the country.
Now, the fan wave of Harley has hit Gujarat Police Department too. As a part of preparations for the Vibrant Gujarat Summit-2015 the Gujarat Police Department now posses some Harely Davidson Street 750 and Superlow models. They will be used for escorting and piloting of VIP convoys. The photographs showcase two Harley-Davidson motorcycles, the Street 750 and the SuperLow, painted in white colour and laden with accessories like a warning light, a siren and a wireless communicator.
The Street 750 also received the prestigious Indian Motorcycle of the Year (IMOTY) award for 2014. The other motorcycle in case in the SuperLow which comes with a slightly more powerful 883cc Air-cooled, Evolution engine. The new motorcycles are likely to join the Gujarat police fleet very soon. Gujarat Police has purchased 225 Bolero white jeep cars and 350 bikes. About 23 of the motorcycles would be distributed to Gandhinagar police.
