Hamilton inches ahead of Rosberg in Belgian GP

Lewis Hamilton has yet again taken the podium at the 2015 F1 season with the victory at the Belgian GP at Spa-Francorchamps. He defeated his Mercedes team mate Nico Rosberg to surge pass in the champion's tally. Romain Grosjean, driving in the Lotus, took the third spot, hence returning to the podium after long.

Daniil Kvyat of Red Bull finished fourth, ahead of Force India's Sergio Perez and Williams' Fellipe Massa. Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen finished seventh ahead of Max Verstappen driving his Toro Rosso and Valtteri Bottas driving in the second Williams. Sauber's Marcus Ericsson finished 10th hence completing the top 10 drivers from the Belgian GP.

With this 39th Grand Prix triumph, and an 80th podium, Hamilton is now on the level with the great Ayrton Senna. Sebastian Vettel, the four-time world champion was not able to finish the race after Ferrari's one stop strategy backfired with a tyre failure on the final lap.

On the constructors' table, team Mercedes is running ahead with 426 points against 242 points of Ferrari. Team Williams is on the third spot with 161 points. On the drivers’ table, Hamilton is on the first spot with 227 points, while Nico Rosberg is following him with 199 points and Sebastian Vettel is at 160.
