Harley Davidson designs two motorcycles especially for women riders
Snapshot: Street 750 and Street 500 - Harley's latest offerings to the motorcycle world - will now lure the women riders
Gone are the days when humming the OST of Easy Rider and cruising on a Harley on the open highways was something only the men could think of. Welcome the new segment Harley Davidson is now trying to woo with its special offerings. To make it more 'women friendly' these two models lack the bloated petrol tanks, chrome and have smaller handle grips, lower seats and different foot peg positions. These two machines, Harley assumes, are serious performance motorcycles which will persuade more women to go for them.
This move from Harley supports the fact that number of women buying Harleys in US has increased 30% in the last decade. International Female Ride Day - which was started by Harley Davidson in Canada in 2006 for the first time - is celebrated with great enthusiasm in other nations like UK, US, India, Russia, Brazil and many more.
