Harley Davidson has released its 2015 lineup and it includes a trike which is an all-new vehicle by the Milwaukee based motorcycle manufacturer. The mid-sized trike will cater to the not so tall riders. The Freewheeler will come with a 1,690cc engine which will produce a massive but useful 142Nm of torque. All this can be used with the help of a six-speed transmission and an electrically-selected reverse gear.
The classic heel-toe shifter, foot operated parking brake, upgraded passenger grab rails, air adjustable suspensions, assist&slipper clutch, cruise control are some of the features this Harley will come preloaded with. Dual halogen lamp, fat telescopic forks and 19" aluminum front wheel provide a comfortable ride. However it misses ABS which is more of an astonishment seeing the $24,999 (Rs. 15.11 lakhs) price tag.
"It's a sportier-looking vehicle and, because it's smaller in dimensions, it puts the rider in a very comfortable position. Think of this bike as a Softail compared with a touring bike," said Paul James, Product Planning Director, Harley-Davidson.
The trike, which is a smaller sibling of the Tri-Glide, will be made available in 2015 and will come only in Black colour unless you want to spend some money on it.
