Bhutan has probably one of the most scenic roads to tour on a motorcycle throughout the world, and this is just what a 50 member team of Harley Owners Group or H.O.G. did as they thundered through the epic beauty of the country, riding through the winding roads for a 7 day ride organised by H.O.G.'s Bengal Chapter. The ride participants were from 14 Harley Davidson chapters across India came together to ride to the 'Land of Thunder Dragon' that started on the 19th of May and ended on the 25th of May, 2015.
The ride was flagged off from SIliguri and the riders rode through the route that had places like Phuntsholing, Thimpu, Punakha, Bumthang and Haa-Paro as they reached Bhutan's capital city of Thimpu, covering a distance of more than 6000km in the whole ride.
Director of HOG’s Bengal chapter, the organising team, Mr. Manoj Joshi, commented about the journey, " The beautiful country of Bhutan is on the bucket list for almost every motorcycle enthusiast. Riding with the brotherhood is always fun and the 2nd International H.O.G. ride gave all of us a brilliant opportunity to step outside our comfort zones and take our passion for riding to a whole new level.”
H.O.G. chapters in India routinely organize rides for Harley owners. It provides an opportunity for riders to come together and celebrate their love for motorcycling and take back with them new friendships, amazing journeys and great stories.
