Helmet Awareness Camp launched by Honda in Tamil Nadu

In India every one minute a person dies due to road-accident and major cause of death is not wearing a helmet while riding a two-wheeler. To promote the usage of Helmets, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) came up with a Helmet awareness campaign in Tamil Nadu. The campaign stress’s upon making helmets necessary for every two-wheeler rider.

Yadvinder S. Guleria, senior vice president, sales and marketing, HMSI said, "It is indeed a great initiative by the Tamil Nadu Government in the direction to promote safe two-wheeler riding. As a responsible corporate, we support this initiative to promote adoption of helmets and reduce significant number of road accident fatalities. The objective is to bring a necessary change in approach of two wheeler riders in every possible way- be it presenting a strong case about the benefits for helmet usage, constant reminders through messages at various locations, mass movement and engagement exercises at every step."

Honda will be conducting helmet awareness rallies and road safety promotion in different cities of Tamil Nadu like Chennai, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Salem, Trichy, Peramballur, Krishnagiri, Tiruvanamalai, Vellore, Coimbatore, Madurai, Theni, Tirupur, Sivakasi, Rameshwaram, Tuticorin, Ariyalur, Mayiladuthurai. These are all the cities which will be a part of Helmet awareness campaign, Honda is also offering straight 50% discount on Branded helmets of different range at their showrooms.
