Hero Motorcorp, the country's largest two-wheeler company, has launched two new bikes in the form of Splendor Pro Classic and New Passion Pro TR at a sticker price of Rs. 48,650 and Rs. 51,550 (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively. It is for the first time with the Passion Pro TR, that a 100cc commuter comes loaded with the off-roading characteristics in India, while the Splendor Pro Classic adorns cafe racer styling.
The Splendor Pro Classic, under the hood, has an air-cooled four-stroke single cylinder OHC engine which dishes out a maximum power of 8.24bhp at 8000 rpm in accordance with a peak torque of 8Nm at 5000rpm. The bike also boasts a single seat, classic round headlight and tail light, a vintage style cafe cowl, a sporty handlebar, and a classy round speedometer. Chrome, in particular, is used extensively by the company in front and rear fenders, winkers, suspension cover and round rear view mirror to ooze oomph.
Splendor Pro Classic
On the other hand, the Passion Pro TR is blessed with off-roading characteristics which further gets accentuated by the inclusion of sturdier handlebars with a cross brace, high front fender with hugger, a knee pad for better grip, headlight grill and hand guards for extra protection. The bike also features a special tyre tread for better road grip, bash plate to shield engine, designer knuckle guard and fuel tank pads. Mechanically, it is powered by an air-cooled, four-stroke single cylinder OHC engine which generates a maximum power output of 7.7bhp at 7500 rpm and peak torque performance of 8Nm at 4500 rpm.
Passion Pro TR
The Splendor Pro classic will be offered with two chic color shades - solid maroon and carbon black while the Passion Pro TR will be available in electric red, sports red, and black with sports red colors.
