Hero Motocorp with its premium range of scooters has entered into the next phase its exciting journey in the Indian two-wheeler market. The new products are a proof of the in-house R&D efforts of the Hero Motocorp. Hero Duet and Hero Maestro Edge use the same engine that produces 8.31bhp of power at 8000rpm and a peak torque of 8.31Nm at 6500rpm.
While the engine capacity and power output is same the Maestro promises 65.8kmpl and Duet, 63.8kmpl (may be due to slightly higher kerb weight of all metal body). The engine like any other scooter's in this category, is a four stroke, air cooled motor.
The Maestro offers unique features like the Key with E-code, Mobile charging port, remote seat opening, remote fuel-lid opening, pass switch, service due indicator, and twin parking lamps. Some other visual elements that make the scooter attractive include a digital-analog meter console, boot light, external fuel filling etc.
Other than the above mentioned features, prominent safety and convenience features like side stand indicator, tubeless tyres and front luggage box are also present.
The Duet on the other hand, when its launched would also offer all the above mentioned features but with an all metal body, making it more sturdy and durable of the two. Scooters are available in LX and VX variants, the Maestro offers seven range of colours – Perl Silver White, Panther Black, Shooting Night Star, Candy Blazing Red, Techno Blue, Matte Vernier Grey and Matte Blue, while the Duet would offer six - Candy Blazing Red, Perl Silver White, Grace Grey, Matte Nature Green, Panther Black and Vernier Grey (Non-metallic).
