After its impressive sales in the month of June where it grew by 8% over last year, Hero MotoCorp is all set to take it to the next level in terms of sales and reach. The Indian giant is planning to set up a plant in Colombia which should have an annual production capacity of 78,000 units and can go up to 1,50,000 units when needed. The place allocated to the plant is in Cauca which is 500kms South West of the capital city, Bogota. This plant will be the first full-fledged plant by an Indian two-wheeler manufacturer in Latin America.

Hero is presently available in 19 countries in Asia, Africa and Central America and is currently working on establishing a series of manufacturing facilities across the globe to serve the newer and existing markets. This step will bring Hero MotoCorp closer to its aim of crossing 100 million mark in terms of cumulative production, and selling 12 million two-wheelers per annum by year 2020. It also aims at having 20 manufacturing facilities across the globe with presence in 50 countries by then.
